Fabio Sirna is a professional guitarist, teacher, music producer, musicologist and sociologist.
He began studying the musical discipline on the piano at the age of 9, before moving to the guitar at the age of 14.
In 2005 he obtained with excellent grades both the rock-fusion guitar diploma at the C.P.M European Institute, and a Bachelor Degree in Sociology (Bicocca University of Milan) with an experimental thesis in the musical field.
From this moment on he began working as a guitar and electronic music teacher, and as gigging musician.
In the following years he developes a Live Electronics Show, combining techniques such as live looping, finger drumming and poly-instrumental improvisation.
In 2013 he obtained his second Bachelor Degree in Musicology (University of Pavia in Cremona, field of study “Systematic Musicology”)

In the meantime, he composes songs on seven-string guitars, using a hybrid technique that combines polyphonic, fingerstyle, slap and tapping. In 2016 he publishes Orpheus ,a solo work that combines electronic music and experimental techniques on seven-string guitars. The album is avaiable on all the major digital platforms.

​In the same year he founded Sonicmeal Studio with Giacomo Maraboli, a music production studio, sound design and audio post production . Within the Sonicmeal project, he composed the soundtrack of “War Tourist” (2017), a documentary film in VR presented at the Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF section) and at the Cannes Festival 2018, (section Marchè Du Films).

With Sonicmeal Studio he took care of the soundtrack of the film “Immortality of the Crab” (directed by Giacomo Manzotti”), an experimental animated short film shot on super 8 film, made with in-camera editing and no post production. In this movie, the synaesthetic research between sound and image is accomplished by connecting the animations, made on 1125 cardboard frames, with an original soundtrack produced using only sounds sampled by handling pieces of cardboard. The film has been premiered in many festivals, such as The8Fest (Toronto) and PuntoYRaya Fest (Lisboa)

Among the numerous other works in the cultural field, he has composed the soundtracks for the VR documentaries “You Are Leo” Milan, “Moon VR”,”Revolution Park”, “Inside Monet”, “La Milano Dell’800: You Are Verdi”, “Joan Mirò: La Poesia Delle Forme” and many others produced by WayExperience.

Other works for important Italian brands are represented by all the soundtrack for “Pesto Experience” by Academia Barilla, and all the music for the show Basement Cafè: Masterclass Series, hosted by Lavazza.

He also deals with Audio Branding in the corporate environment, offering customized services for advertising agencies, companies and brands, curating music composition and sound design for brands such as, Sprite, Faber, Camel,Maaza, Alfa Romeo, Jaguar, Bentley, Gres, Lalique, Brioni, Baxter, Porsche and many others.

He also takes care of the post production for many italian TV commercials on air in LA7 channel, podcasts and audiobooks.

Currently he is a lecturer at NABA Milan, teaching sound design for animation..
